Milan Menswear Fashion Summer Spring Show 2027

Italy began its menswear season amid economic and geopolitical uncertainties, with key events like Pitti Uomo (June 16–19 in Florence) and Milan Fashion Week (June 19–23). Milan's event, second only to Pitti, showcases Italy's leading brands such as Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Tod’s, and Brioni, all of which presented their S/S 2027 collections. This season's Milan Fashion Week had a lower profile, with 75 events—down from 81 last year—and the absence of some major Italian brands. Last week also saw the absence of Fendi and Gucci, both of which were dealing with changes in creative leadership. Additionally, Zegna presented its shows in Los Angeles. We highlight here only a few of the Italian Fashion brands which presented in Milan.

Giorgio Armani

Armani's Menswear Fashion Show for FW Spring/Summer featured seemingly discordant colours which blend harmoniously on an artist's palette (the Designer). This season’s collection fuses city and holiday influences, West and East, South and North. It began with contrasting ideas to achieve a balance through a lightness in its stylistic signature. The key unifying element is the ethereal quality of materials and structures, expressed in a relaxed, free-spirited manner. The silhouette remains fluid and ever-evolving; double-breasted jackets with shawl collars feature low fastenings and cropped lengths; wide trousers with teardrop pleats are either tapered at the ankle or drape softly with generous turn-ups, paired with suede shoes, sandals, and pastel-toned chukka boots.

Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana launched a menswear collection for Milan's heatwave and a Sicilian beach getaway, showcased during Milan Fashion Week. The lineup featured laser-cut suits, short shorts, and breezy knits, set against a rocky coastline. Models wore swimwear and silk pyjamas, with key accessories like oversized travel bags. Notable attendees included Robert Lewandowski, Kawhi Leonard, Michele Morrone, and Soobin.

Prada

Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons refreshed classic fashion essentials—such as jeans and jackets—mainly by making them smaller. They incorporated Prada's signature elements, like retro curtain patterns on fitted sweater vests and skinny jeans, along with bold colors such as anise green and Pepto-Bismol pink. They also introduced quirky, asymmetrical glasses that evoke a futuristic feel. Their collection focused on wardrobe basics, highlighting tiny shorts, sweats and funky hats – typically high-selling items.

Tods

Tod’s menswear showcased in Milan the brand's quiet luxury aesthetic under Creative Director Matteo Tamburini – called The Italian wardrobe. Highlights feature the signature Pashmy leather project, the iconic Gommino driving shoes, and the Red Dot sneakers. Presented at Milan Men's Fashion Week, this collection—titled The Italian Wardrobe—was showcased at the historic Villa Necchi Campiglio. Key pieces include the Brera Bomber, the blazer-inspired Castello Jacket, and the weightless Solferino Shirt. A mix of materials with exceptional lightweight, glove-soft leather mimicking the feel of pashmina. Earthy tones of beige, cocoa, and ochre were balanced with Mediterranean-inspired Riviera blues and pearl greys.
