Merlata Food Parade in Milan

The Merlata Food Parade returns from May 8th to 24th at Merlata Bloom Milano for exclusive promotions at 18 restaurants and bars, included the opening of Panfuwa on May 16th, famous for its Japanese soufflé pancakes. This festival features masterclasses, cooking demonstrations, themed dinners, and culinary challenges for the public, showcasing renowned figures from Italian television cuisine. Following last year's success with over 2,000 participants, this event celebrates food as a means of connecting with the community and showcases Milan's vibrant city centre.

Cooking masterclasses took place on May 16th and 17th, and with one more for the 23rd, featuring top chefs and in collaboration with popular brands such as Wagamama, Panino Giusto, and Signorvino. A special class was held by Andrea Mainardi from "È sempre mezzogiorno!" on May 17th at 5:30 PM, creating an experience akin to a TV cooking show with hands-on cooking, entertainment, and tastings. And on May 24th, participate in a Food Battle to crown the best chef from Merlata Bloom Milano, judged by industry experts and Roberto Valbuzzi. While Masterchef 2026 has wrapped up, the Food Parade promises to deliver just as much entertainment. On Sunday, May 24th, 16 amateur chefs will compete after a talent search held at the shopping centre. The competition will include two pressure tests, semifinals, and a decisive final challenge, all in front of a panel of judges from the Merlata Bloom Milano restaurants, a journalist from our Cibo Today editorial team, and Chef Roberto Valbuzzi, one of the most beloved Italian chefs today, known for his television appearances on "Cortesie per gli Ospiti" and for his restaurant’s unique offerings.
