San Remo in Fiore Festival

The "Sanremo in Fiore" flower parade will return on 26 March in Sanremo, showcasing colorful floats adorned with flowers. This traditional event celebrates the heritage of the Riviera di Ponente flower carnival from the Belle Époque. After the parade, visitors can explore the local market for typical regional products and enjoy Sanremo's artistic and cultural attractions. The event  culminates in the flower parade, which features floats decorated with thousands of fresh flowers from local municipalities. This year's theme, “What Joy! … among emotions, colors, and broadcasts,” pays tribute to the history of Italian television, featuring shows like the Sanremo Festival, Rischiatutto, and Ballando con le stelle.

The parade route will pass notable landmarks, including Lungomare Italo Calvino and the Vittorio Veneto Gardens. Don't miss this vibrant celebration of spring in Liguria! The flower parade on Sunday, March 29, will feature traditional performances from marching bands and folklore groups on Saturday, March 28. Leading up to the parade, various side events will allow visitors to experience Sanremo in Fiore as an extended celebration.

The Flower Festival runs from Wednesday, March 25, to Sunday, March 29, 2026, and includes thematic exhibitions, floral installations, concerts, workshops, and markets showcasing local products.

A key highlight is the exhibition “From the Egyptians to Sanremo – Flowers and Fragrances through History,” held at Forte Santa Tecla from Thursday to Sunday. Sanremo in Fiore is one of Italy's most important floral events, demonstrating the connection between tradition, tourism, and local identity. It celebrates the historical significance of floriculture in the Riviera dei Fiori. This annual event attracts visitors and industry professionals, establishing Sanremo as a leading destination for spring tourism. Tickets for the grandstands at the Flower Parade on March 29 went on sale on March 2. In Sanremo, during the Festival and Flower Festival, visitors can savor Ligurian specialties that highlight both seafood and local produce. Some of the must-try dishes include sardenaira (a focaccia topped with anchovies and tomatoes), raw red shrimp, Sanremo-style rabbit prepared with Taggiasca olives, and torta verde (green cake). Additionally, the traditional dessert known as Baci di Sanremo is a must-try for anyone attending the festival.
