At Six Senses Rome, a luxury hotel created within a restored 15th-century palazzo in the heart of the city, guests can enjoy an authentic yet unexpected experience. Part of the IHG Collection, this hotel emphasises connection—whether it's between guests and staff or through partnerships with local artisans and suppliers. The building is strategically located just a short walk from the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain. As Six Senses' first urban property in Italy, it beautifully blends Roman history with modern luxury, honouring the city's culture and heritage. The restoration of the 15th-century Palazzo Salviati Cesi Mellini focused on preserving key historical elements, including 600-year-old columns, a fourth-century baptismal bath, and the façade of the neighbouring San Marcello al Corso Church.
Under the guidance of architect Patricia Urquiola, the project harmonises the original Roman architecture with modern, sustainable design, ensuring that its history is preserved while adapting it thoughtfully for today’s needs. The Six Senses Spa reimagines ancient Roman bathing rituals with modern interpretations of the caldarium, tepidarium, and frigidarium. It also offers treatments such as sound therapy, biohacking, and breathwork, reflecting the brand's holistic wellness approach.
Dining at BIVIUM Restaurant-Café-Bar and NOTOS Rooftop embodies the "Eat With Six Senses" philosophy, featuring seasonal and locally sourced dishes inspired by Roman traditions. Six Senses Rome attracts a clientele like that of the Bulgari Hotel, Hotel de Russie (Rocco Forte Hotels), and Hotel Eden (Dorchester Collection).
