The 20th edition of the Rome Film Fest will be held from October 15 to 26, 2025, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. This venue will feature the main screening theatres and one of the world's largest red carpets. Cinema enthusiasts from around the globe will gather in Rome for this highly anticipated festival, which promises to be an unforgettable celebration of art, culture, and cinema. Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic cities, the Rome Film Fest offers a unique blend of cinematic magic and the beauty of Rome’s historical and cultural landmarks. Over the course of ten days, film lovers, industry professionals, and international tourists will flock to this grand event, eager to experience both Italian and international films in a city that is as integral to the experience as the films themselves. Rome’s rich history, iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, the Pantheon, and St. Peter’s Basilica, and vibrant local culture provide the perfect backdrop for any trip.

The Rome Film Festival has announced its lineup for the 20th edition, running from October 15 to 26. A highlight is the world premiere of Asif Kapadia’s documentary, *Kenny Dalglish*, about the legendary Liverpool player and manager. It will be shown in the non-competitive Special Screenings section before its release on Amazon Prime Video in November.  Three world premieres will take place: Andrea De Sica’s "The Eyes of Others," which is inspired by the shocking Casati Stampa murder that captivated Italy in the 1970s;  a documentary titled "Roberto Rossellini: More Than a Life"; and Leandro Picarella’s coming-of-age story, "Sciatunostro." The main competition lineup also features Jan Komasa’s UK-Polish co-production, "Good Boy," starring Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough, which recently premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Additionally, Shih-Ching Tsou’s "Left-Handed Girl," originally showcased at Cannes Critics Week, is included.

The Eyes of Others - Gli occhi degli altri. Directed by Andrea De Sica. Amidst the wild beauty of an island owned by a wealthy marquis, Elena’s arrival marks the beginning of a passionate love affair. Complicity and transgression, sex and power intertwine in a film loosely inspired by events in Italy in the 1960s.
