The Taormina Film Fest, renowned for being the historic Taormina International Film Festival, is returning for its 71st edition this year. This long-standing festival will take place from June 10 to June 14, 2025, featuring film premieres, independent films, documentaries, and shorts from over 20 countries, as well as tributes to past filmmakers. Additionally, just a couple of weeks ago, Bulgari showcased its High Jewellery collection, Polychroma, at the ancient Greek Theatre of Taormina, followed by a carefully curated showroom at the San Domenico Palace. A few days later, Mytheresa and Dolce & Gabbana hosted a glamorous event reminiscent of *The White Lotus,* showcasing their latest capsule collection at the Belvedere Gardens of the San Domenico Palace in Sicily. Looking ahead to July, attendees can anticipate the Taomoda Week, one of the most eagerly awaited events in the Italian fashion and cultural scene. This event will be held from July 15 to July 19, 2025, at Taormina's Teatro Antico.
Bulgari Polychroma Event
A few weeks ago, high art and high jewelry converged in Taormina, where Bulgari transformed the enchanting town into a dazzling showcase for its new Polychroma collection. Known for its bold and joyful use of color, the Roman jeweler unveiled 600 stunning creations, featuring 250 new designs, 60 “millionaire” pieces, and five milestone styles.
The evening commenced with a gala dinner at the iconic Grand Hotel Timeo, where stars such as Blackpink’s Lisa, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Viola Davis, and Liu Yifei graced the red carpet wearing High Jewellery Polychroma pieces designed by creative director Lucia Silvestri. Set on a terrace overlooking the majestic Mount Etna and the shimmering Ionian Sea, the ambiance harmoniously blended Sicilian charm with classical inspiration. After dinner, guests were escorted to the ancient Greek Theater of Taormina, where they enjoyed a three-act performance that showcased the Polychroma collection.

Mytheresa and Dolce & Gabbana hosted a glamorous event reminiscent of *The White Lotus,* showcasing their latest capsule collection. Now in its ninth year of the Mytheresa and Dolce & Gabbana collaboration, the getaway included past destinations like Capri and Miami, but Sicily's cinematic charm stood out as the perfect backdrop. On Friday evening, guests in flowing gowns and kaftans took in the stunning views with Aperol Spritzes. The beautifully set tables, adorned with Taormina-printed tablecloths and vibrant Sicilian decor, quickly became a social media focal point. Dinner consisted of a light summer menu, and the night continued at the Sala Ionio bar with live music and fine wines, followed by a lively after-party at Morgana, featuring hits from Britney and Italian disco. On Saturday, guests dressed in lemon-print attire attended a midday market experience in Piazza IX Aprile, where the town’s locals looked on. The square buzzed with life as models showcased the new collection alongside local folk dancers. After mingling and sampling Sicilian delicacies, guests relaxed by the infinity pool, toasting to the weekend.
Taormina Film Fest
The Taormina Film Fest, officially known as the Taormina International Film Festival, is set to return for its 71st edition this year. Scheduled from June 10 to June 14, 2025, the festival will feature a diverse lineup, including film premieres, independent films, documentaries, and short films from over 20 countries. In addition to showcasing international stars, the event will also include world and Italian premieres, master classes, and screenings in various theaters. The Film Festival this year will celebrate its Sicilian roots by marking the 25th anniversary of Giuseppe Tornatore's steamy period drama "Malena," which launched Monica Bellucci's international career. Overall the festival is divided into three sections: an international feature film competition, an out-of-competition section, and special events. An international jury will award prizes for Best Film, Best Actress, and Best Actor.
Taomoda - Fashion Event in Taormina in July
Each year, Taormina hosts Taomoda Week, one of the most anticipated events in the Italian fashion and cultural scene. This event features haute couture shows, exhibitions, talks, and international awards, celebrating the best of contemporary creativity while maintaining a strong connection to the Sicilian territory. Taomoda Week attracts stylists, artists, designers, journalists, and guests from around the globe, transforming the pearl of the Ionian Sea into a stage where art, fashion, and innovation converge. A highlight of the week is the Taomoda Award, which recognizes prominent figures in fashion, design, and communication. The event will be staged at Taormina’s Teatro Antico from July 15 to July 19.
