Miuccia Prada christening the new Luna Rossa Sailboat

Miuccia Prada, the wife of Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli's president Patrizio Bertelli, recently christened the AC75 foiling monohull sailboat that will compete in the America's Cup. The christening ceremony took place on Saturday in Cagliari, Italy, where Miuccia Prada fulfilled her godmother's duties by striking the boat's bow with a bottle of Cantine Ferrari's Maximum Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. This moment went viral, as it is a tradition that is always exciting and worth sharing.

Luna Rossa, the sixth challenger for America's Cup, unveiled their new boat in Cagliari. The boat was covered with a black hull shroud which was removed by Miuccia Prada during the christening ceremony. As she broke a bottle of Cantine Ferrari's Maximum Blanc de Blancs on the protected bowsprit, the black tarpaulin immediately fell away, revealing a metallic silver AC75. The sight of the new boat caused an audible gasp of appreciation from the spectators and guests. The Italians have gone back to their traditional silver hull colour, which they last used in 2013 on their AC72 wingsailed foiling catamaran. The Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team's challenge for the 37th America's Cup is making progress. They have unveiled a new set of foils on the starboard arm of their AC75 boat and added a new mast. The boat's design is aesthetically stunning.

Prada Linea Rossa is a collection that focuses on sleek designs and minimalist silhouettes. The line is named after the Luna Rossa yacht in the America's Cup, and it offers an urbane look for daily wear. While the results still evoke the iconic Prada brand, there is now an even greater emphasis on function. You can discover distinctive accessories that are imbued with the brand's trademark experimental style, and they are crafted to suit both sporting and recreational activities. If you're ready to go all-in, you can choose a pair of wrap-around sunglasses that are sculpted to look like ski goggles. They have chunky plastic framing and geometric shapes, which add a futuristic finish to your outfit while providing excellent UV protection. For everyday styling, you can't go wrong with Prada Linea Rossa aviators. They come complete with details such as gradient glass and squared-off retro frames. You'll also find styles without tinted lenses that are tailor-made for cloudy days.  Most of our Prada Linea Rossa eyeglasses come with a hard case to keep your new specs safe.
