A new restaurant arrives at the Uffizi in Florence

After three and a half years, the restoration of the 19th-century rooms of the Reali Poste within the Uffizi Museum in Florence, in the Vasari complex, has come to an end. An evocative space, on the ground floor of the museum wing located behind the Loggia dei Lanzi, which in a few months will house a restaurant; which was recently announced. The menu of the 'Uffizi restaurant', explains the Museum management, "will be entirely dedicated to Tuscan cuisine, but culinary specialties from all over the Italian peninsula will also be offered". Until 2016, the Reali Poste, has been used as an exhibition venue.  The restaurant will have its own entrance overlooking the Uffizi square and will remain open for both lunch and dinner. Being an integral part of the Gallery, you will need a day ticket or an annual pass to enter the restaurant.
