Helen Mirren confesses that her dream is it to open a small theater in Puglia in the garden of her farm. The actress is now a Salentine by adoption, with her husband Taylor Hackford she bought a farmhouse near Leuca. Currently in the United States for the presentation of "1923", a series that will be broadcast on Paramount+ and in which she stars with Harrison Ford.

With its deliciously warm weather, sparkling blue ocean, divine food scene and reputation for world class wine, it’s no wonder Italy’s heel has become a hot spot for the rich and famous. Near Tiggiano, in the Salento area of Puglia, Helen bought a 16th century masseria with some rather castle like features. This fortified farmhouse has a large tower, high walls, stone vaulted ceilings, arched doorways and limestone floors.
