The Antinori Winery in the Chianti Classico by Marchesi Antinori went up on the podium, awarded during the gala evening held in Mendoza in Argentina. The Architectural structure of its main Antinori building is characterized by its low environmental impact and the extraordinary ability to integrate the Chianti hills environment with its modern architecture.  A panel composed of 500 experts chosen from sommeliers and travel experts from all over the world who must present nominations and votes following a strict and severe grid that takes into consideration criteria such as the quality of the overall experience, the atmosphere, the cuisine , the activities, the landscape, the staff and the value for money.

A very heartfelt award. "Having followed its construction from the earliest stages, the Antinori winery in Chianti Classico holds a special place in my heart - comments Albiera Antinori, President of Marchesi Antinori - In addition to being an honor for our family and for our entire company, this the prestigious award just received represents an important recognition for all Italian wine tourism. "Covered by vineyards and hidden among olive trees and woods, the winery stands out for its low environmental impact and high energy savings, symbolizing and paying homage to the relationship between Antinori family and the noble territory in which this Architectural structure stands; with essential lines and warm colors that recall those of the earth, the structure was entirely built in natural materials such as terracotta and wood. The construction of this structure, took 7 years; the project by Marco Casamonti and the Archea Associati studio, with Hydea engineering. The vineyards that cover it, integrating it perfectly with the surrounding landscape, extend over an area of 4.60 hectares and are mainly cultivated with Sangiovese; here are in fact produced the Pèppoli Chianti Classico D.O.C.G., the Villa Antinori Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Riserva and, from the 2015 vintage, the Vigna sul Tetto Chianti Classico D.O.C.G. Reserve. The vineyard also features its own restaurant Rinuccio1180 on the roof of the winery.
