B&B Italia Outdoor Furniture is celebrating its 15th year anniversary. Established in 1966 as the result of the entrepreneurial vision of Piero Ambrogio Busnelli, the Group has built its success on the ability to represent contemporary culture through design and to anticipate trends, constantly seeking to respond to changes in taste and living needs. In 2007, was the debut of the B&B Italia Outdoor collection, with designs from Patricia Urquiola’s with her ‘Canasta’ design. Over the years the Italian furniture company has called upon its rich roster of international creatives to build its outdoor offering, launching 40 collections by 13 designers, including Antonio Citterio, Philippe Starck, Piero Lissoni and many more.
Missoni was founded in 1953 by husband and wife Ottavio and Rosita Missoni. Inspired by art deco and medieval tapestry, the duo began creating crochet knits showcasing the label’s now iconic designs. Missoni quickly became synonymous with Italian elegance and technical innovation through their use of sumptuous fabrics that indulge the senses. Nearly 70 years on Missoni remains a family run business and continues to create inimitable zigzag, stripe and wave crochet-knit designs in a kaleidoscope of psychedelic colours with unwavering quality. The charisma of each item promotes creative ideas, adding charm to large and small spaces. To each and every room of the home. To homes, penthouses, gardens, places to relax. At any latitude. Rosita Missoni, company founder and art director of the Home collection, says: “I see my home as a welcoming nest, an organised yet informal habitat where there should always be a surprise around the corner, something to arouse emotion and curiosity. Where every space is an oasis of colours and moods”.
