Torino - 7 Days of Gourmet Events as part of Buonissimo Exhibition

Parade of stars from Bottura to Adrià, from Roš to Baronetto at the Buonissimo Exhibition in Turin :  From 27 to 31 October in shows, talks, photographic exhibitions and dinner shows with the elite of international catering, and this all staged at the most evocative locations of the city, such as the Mole Antonelliana, the Egyptian Museum or the Lavazza Museum. In addition, a dinner show in honour of Fellini with the elite of international catering and Arturo Brachetti to act as master of ceremonies, a talk and an evening with Massimo Bottura, "Piolissima, a rite in honour of anchovies al verde that will be offered at 14 trattorias, Bistromania, a Sunday marathon among bistros, four-handed dinners, exhibitions, signature breakfasts, workshops and more. This is the rich program of Buonissima, the festival that will animate Turin from 27 to 31 October.

Mole Antonelliana  is an architectural landmark of the city of Turin, it was initially conceived as a synagogue, before being bought by the Municipality of Turin and made into a monument to national unity. Today it still allows visitors to go up to the panoramic terrace which is 85 metres high and take in the amazing views of the city and the surrounding Alps. Visitors can also climb on foot along the cavity of the dome stairs, up to the panoramic terrace.


Great international cuisine meets the excellence of Piedmontese cuisine to discover and tell, together with the extraordinary gastronomic culture of a territory, the history, art, creativity and beauty of the capital that has been able to build a nation. Five days of events at the Buonissimo Exhibition dedicated to the passion for quality cuisine in the company of an exceptional 'constellation' of national and international chefs, products of excellence, music and entertainment, art, moments of reflection and comparison that will intertwine with each other in some of the most suggestive and significant places in Turin.

And then art, music and entertainment, culture, creativity and engines that will cross the city joining La Mole Antonelliana - National Museum of Cinema, the National Automobile Museum, The Egyptian Museum, Palazzo Madama, La Reggia di Venaria, La Centrale Lavazza, Floor 35, Palazzo Bertola, Factory 1895, Ristorante Del Cambio, Combo and much more. THE TORTELLANTE ARRIVES

Thursday 28 October, 6.30 pm, Eataly Lingotto

Tortellante is the project conceived by Massimo Bottura and his wife Lara Gilmore which involves in the production of fresh pasta - the legendary tortellini, an excellence of Modenese gastronomy - young people and adults in the autistic spectrum, a unique project in the world capable of changing things in positive and virtuous way.

From Wednesday 27 to Saturday 30 October, at 20.00, in 15 restaurants in the city;  fifteen restaurants such as Spazio7 or Mare Nostrum in the city open their kitchens to other chefs from Turin (but also not from Turin, but also non-cooks) and together they will prepare fifteen super-dinners with four hands. They have chosen each other out of affinity or affection, out of contrast or out of curiosity, but together they will propose menus that have never been seen and will never be seen again. The chefs welcome the chefs, together they welcome the Turin residents and the national and international guests of Buonissima. "Metti Torino a Cena" is  just the right welcome this fabulous food exhibition.

Two tasting workshops, open to the public, dedicated to the world of Italian and regional BREAKFAST, will take place at the Lavazza Museum on 30 and 31 October 2021, starting at 9.30.The 15 daily participants will enter the Museum at 9:30 for a 45-minute workshop in which, within the tasting area, the expert coffeliers will offer a taste of 3 regional coffee recipes combined with 3 pastry specialties.

The three recipes with their combinations are:

• Bavareisa Torinese accompanied with corn biscuits

• Neapolitan coffee with sfogliatella

• Salento coffee with pasticciotto

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to visit the Lavazza Museum, in full autonomy.


PIOLISSIMA

Wednesday 27 October, at 8 pm, in 14 trattorias - the old “piole”, the places where the Piedmontese have always drunk Barbera and eat green anchovies. And anchovies al verde will be the common thread of the fourteen dinners that will be held in at many Turin trattorias such as Barbagusto or Osteria Antiche Sere  at a very civil price of 25 euros.
